bad experience with Management at hotel
I stayed 10-9-2007, checking out 10-13-2007. I had 3 people in my party (including me) and requested 2 rooms. The reservationist at the front desk when I arrived confirmed the rate per night (62.10 + taxes) each night. One room had nasty bad linen/spreads (blood stains) and pillows. The staff changed all the bedding. The other member in my party requested a non-smoking room. She had to move 3 times, the 1st room reeked of smoking, the 2nd room had no heat (outside temp went to 47 degrees at night) and the 3rd move was adequate.
Upon checkout, the front desk clerk indicated one of the nights was a rate of 143.10. I stated that was a mistake. She referred this to her manager which indicated an Ok to allow the 62.10. The Operations Manager-Antonio Wilkins happen to be there and injected himself into the situation. He overrode his manager's decision and said he will only waive one room and the other would have to pay the 143.10 rate. I asked why doesn't he stand behind his employees and compensate for the customer experience above and honor the 62.10 per night on each room. He then confronted me in the front lobby and stated he was meeting me "half way" by waiving one room and for me to pay the unquoted rate for the other. He also dehumanized me by continuing to call me “Miss”.
I admonished him a few time to say I am a male. He refused to correct himself and continued to taunt me with his un-needed statements and lack of listening. I am appalled at this point and explained again my experience above and he would not relent. I was further ridiculed by him in the lobby stating he was "doing me a favor" After paying monies to eat, play in their casino and go through the room torment that I and my party went through above. I would warn anyone to think twice before making a reservation here..... I want restitution for my stay. I feel the charges I had to pay was un-warranted and with the ridicule I received, would request a refund for my abuse received from the Operation Manager of this establishment

Best anywhered
I've been to many, many casino's, from Las Vegas, Deadwood, New Orleans, FoxWoods and Monte Carlo.....Take my word for it GOLDSTRIKE is the BEST!! We love it! The pit crew, the dealers and the Hotel staff are fabulous..Kudos to all at the Goldstrike! Food is great, I especially love "The Atrium"...I think another great thing about the GOLDSTRIKE is thye fact that you are so convenient to parking and the hotel and casino. They also have very well mannered security people! Keep up the good work GOLDSTRIKE...as far as we are concerned you are the Gold standard in gambling.

GREAT PLACE
My wife and I just returned from out first trip to Tunica. We went without any reservations, but were fortunate enough to get a room at the Gold Strike. The room was fantastic, the casino was fantastic, and the food was delicious. The service in the hotel and casino was great, and everyone was very friendly. I've gambled all over the U.S., including Las Vegas many times and never been comped for anything. The comps at the Gold Strike are amazing. I'm not a big gambler; I don't gamble for big money, but in three days I got 4 meals comped, and when I checked out i got my room comped from $75.00 per night to $35.00 per night. Next gambling trip I take will definately be to the Gold Strike Hotel and Casino in Tunica, Ms.

Gold Strike-Courtyard Buffet
The Courtyard Buffet have Crab Fest on Every Saturday. This means that they are suppost to have king, dungeness, and snow crab legs. Didn't have anything connected to that. Just snow crab and that looked like they were babies. No crab meat in them. Since this is the tallest building in MS and one of the largest casinos in MS, they should have a nice buffet but it is just SMALL. No asian, italian, or mexican--just american and a plain ol carving station.
The buffet is on the other side of the casino--not good for children. They dont even have a walkway to the buffet, you have to go through tables and slots. and it at the totally back in a corner. Bad for elderly people when seriously crowded. Should be in the front like Sam's Town.
On Saturdays it is $18.99 where as Ameristar in Vicksburg is $20.99 with what lookes like KING CRAB with asian, italian, and mexican PLUS a sparkling chocolate fountain.
With 330 seats there no room for anyone like the Grand and Horseshoe with 650+ seats especially on Fri. nites.
Probably wont come back but I hope they improve.
Thanks for a good time though, The Strike

Would NOT Stay To Gold Strike AGAIN
WOW.....they give you nothing but a nice room and nice hotel ! No comps, points hard to get on your card and POOR customer service. By poor customer service I mean the last morning of my stay at 7:00 AM (after going to bed at 3:00 AM) there was banging in the room above me ! I call the front desk and they said "OH yes they are putting down carpet in the room above you". My God at 7:00 AM !!! Well I complained at check out that day and they said " The BEST we can go is take $20 off your bill. What a joke, after not having a good night sleep it was only worth $20. I will never stay there again, they don't know how to treat their customers !!

Didn't Stay would like to!!
we were there last year didn't get to stay long, but we did like the Goldstrike we will be there again the 9-10-11 of may 2006 but we never recive
any free rooms or comps.
I would think this would improve the standard of the casino if public recived
free coms and rooms. After all it's hard to gamble and pay for room and eats,
plus the expense of getting there.

Mixed Emotions
To begin, we had reserved two queen beds in a non-smoking room. We were scheduled for a smoking room when we arrived. They did offer us a non-smoking room with twin beds at the same rate. The room was fine. The Atrium restaurant staff are slow-walking, rude, and have a devil-may-care attitude about customer complaints. My wife ordered a fish and chips dinner. The "all meals served with fresh warm bread" promise was completey broken. When I advised the waitress that the cook forgot my wife's hushpuppies, she replied, "Yeah, I know. I brought it out anyway. Do you want them?" She left and came back with four marble-sized "hushpupies" that were still cold and raw. It was obvious that they were prepared in such a way as to antagonize us. When I asked the manager to discount the meal since it was not totally edible, she said no. I asked, "So you are charging me for something I could not eat? Did you expect me to eat that?" She shook her head and said, "no, I don't even eat here." She gave me some suggestions on how to handle it "next time." I said that there would be no next time. She said okay and walked away. So much for customer satisfaction. We found the staff and accommodations at Hollywoods to be far more favorable.

The rooms at the Gold Strike are very comfortable with all amenities needed for a great stay. We had two adjoining rooms near the elevator, just as we asked for in our reservation. The bell staff was quick and courteous and the slots were very loose. We ate two wonderful comp buffets and all the food was fresh and served at the proper temperature. We always choose to stay here.

The Room was very nice. I would have to say the service was unaccetable. As far as the Casino the slot machines never paid out, and the price of the room was rather expensive.

Our stay at gold strike last nov was great. The only thing was we had a comp for one night stay. so our visit was short. I am the only one to get offers from gold strike. My husband plays there as well but never gets any offers. Our visit would be more enjoyable if we could stay longer. Who do we contact about this?
Thank you

My room was horrible. It was dirty, for the two nights I stayed, the light bulb in the bathroom was out...no light at all...I NEVER had coffee...had a pot, but no coffee. The maid left wet towels on the floor in bathroom...the coke machine out in the hall never worked. Ashtrays were never emptied...it was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. It is very nice & the food is very good.Casino is very nice! Our last trip there was a disaster. We parked my son's new truck on the 2nd.level of the parking garage & the passenger window was busted out.We found out very quick that the casino wasn't responsible for the damage. The only way they take care of damage is if you valet park. There were 4 other vehicles besides ours damaged(on other level)They need more cameras in there parking garages!! Our biggest compliant is the security manager. If he had been as concerned as the workers that work under him I might feel a little different. He could have cared less if we got any help.He just wanted to get back inside the casino. There were some really nice people that we would like to thank---Jackie J.& Mary M. at the front desk, Mike B.with the bike patrol,Carlos & Travis from engineering & the young man at valet parking. These people helped our day go a little smoother. Our little vacation was ruined, but we sure learned a lot! We were just glad it wasn't raining on our 4 hour trip home.
