Real nice hotel, but too expensive.
My wife and I have visited Las Vegas several times and stayed at many casino hotels there, finally settling on the Orleans as our favorite. This was our first trip to Tunica. The room at the Horseshoe was excellent--very similar to the Orleans--but it was twice the price! (The flat panel TV was a pleasant surprise.)

I play poker, and since the Horseshoe's poker room did not feel real friendly, I played at Sam's Town (my favorite poker room, with excellent comps) and Gold Strike. My wife had more luck with the slots at the Sheraton (next door to Horseshoe), so she played there and at Sam's Town.

We loved Tunica and will return there instead of Vegas, but we'll try a less-expensive hotel.

  Excellent
Hotel rooms were outstanding. Personnel in Casino were good with one person outstanding, unfortunately I didn't get her name. She was a dealer on 3 card poker, has 12 years experience and was outstanding (I wish I had her name so I could compliment her directly). We visited most of the casinos in Tunica and this was the very best.

I had a wonderful stay and will definately be back. Verey relaxing and a nice change from the hustle bustle of the Las Vegas Strip.

Overall not a bad hotel and casino. The slots are realtively tight and the video poker is some of the lowest paying in Tunica. The poker is easy to tell because their machines have 35 coins for a full house and the Hollywood and Harrahs gives you 45. Do the math and you'll see.
The real reason I'm not happy with Horseshoe is a dealer named Eric on Blackjack. My wife and I ate in the buffet shortly before we went to play BJ. During our meal, a freshly poured glass of water turned over onto my wife. Her blouse immediately turned transparent and she never wears a bra except in her office. Well, nipples were in full view. Instead of changing to another top, she decided to let it dry. Well, my wife is a nice 34C, so some people looked, but the worst was the dealer. We sat down and he said "Wow, those handles are really nice". He didn't know it was my wife, but he does now. I challenged him to meet in the parking lot, but he refused and made some comment about getting my wife some underwear. I was totally ticked and we left, went back to the room and we did the wild thing. Actually, the site of my wife flashing her breasts/nipples through the hall going to our room turned me on. Every straight guy and some gay stared and stared and stared. WOW!!!

I used to play a lot in Lavegas but this hotei& casino is awsome.Friendly, profesinal, easy going. My favor game are Blackjack &7 card fivegoud.I had play in there only twice but I think I had found the best play
to have fun.The different I think is I had a lot comffotable there than any casino in Lavegas. The point is no matter you win or lose(specially when you wining) people dont come to harrass you or do something make you feel bad-make you losing back money. In gambling, this is really fair play.I hope you get this masages and keep doing well. For sure you will get more customer.Tell you what,You allready got all my friends and my famili members.Thank you all.

We started going to Tunica about 6 years ago. We would always go to The Grand Casino. It just became obvious to us that we were looseing and not winning at the Grand ,so we decided to start trying other casinos. We ventured off to Hollywood Casino where we actually started winning more often than loseing .We then started to venture to other Casinos as well and made our way into Horseshoe . We were in the casino playing the one dollars slots and I went to cash in and came across some 2 dollar machines and thought I would give one a try . On the first pull I won over 300 dollars . I went to tell my husband about the 2 dollar machines I had found and we both went and started playing . After about 30 min hubby put his coinc in my machine while I was going to cash in some of my winnings and he hit for 1600.00. Thus we have been coming back to play the same 2 dollar slots everytime we come back to Tunica . The last time we were there I hit the jockpot on the very same 2 dollar slot for 3200.00 . We got a room for the night and left winners once again . I would say to anyone who plans a trip to Tunica PLEASE skip the Grand . All the Grand has is Grand things to look at but as for us we have seen no profit from the Grand .If you want a chance to win go to Horseshoe . The workers are wonderful people, the hotel is comforting , the food is wonderful , the Table games are exciteing , and the slots are my cash cow .

This was an okay hotel, but we were there for our anniversary and din't gamble much so we had to pay THEIR price of $149 for a room on a Friday. Here's Julie and my problem though. Please tell your housekeepers it would be nice if they waited more than 5 seconds after they knock and announce themselves before they open the door to your room. We were doing the wild thing a little before noon, hear a knock on the door, but I was 'finishing the transaction' and couldn't answer the door, if you know what I mean. I turned toward the door, my manhood fully exposed, and I'm staring square in the face of ahousekeeper. Not that this was bad enough, her eyes locked onto my member like a deer in the headlights. I grabbed the comforter, pulled it up around me and asked her to step away for a minute. She never apologized or anything. I threw some pants on, asked her to come back in 30 minutes and that was that. A very embarassing situation. Luckily I work out, so I have a pretty nice body, so I wasn't totally ashamed. Aside from this, it was a decent trip.

Just wanted to add-that my boyfriend has been to las vegas several times and commented he would rather come to the Horseshoe in Tunica over Vegas. I think that says alot about the people and the establishment. We had a tremendous trip and can't wait to return.

Knew nothing about the hotel except that I knew the name Jack Binion. Have watched poker and blackjack on tv and always wanted to learn and play for myself. The trip was planned in less than a week and I had a blast. The most fun I've had in a long time. Most dealers were extremely cordial, pit bosses were great, waitresses always had order their quickly,-all in all i can't say one bad thing about the hotel, casino, or employees. Can't wait to return. Sad to say I didn't learn the last names of several dealers but thanks to Shirley, Judy, Brenda, pit boss and dealer Pat, and several more. The Horseshoe Binion and Casino is definitely first class!! Thanks again.

My husband and i have never been to Horseshoe Tunica but have we certainly frequent the Horseshoe Shreveport. We love the hotel and always have a great time even if we win or lose. Of course if we win it is always a plus. We play slots and receive comps for concerts and hotel rooms as well as food. My husband is a Jack's Club member and I am an Inner Circle. My ID# is 1516928 and name is Betty Welch and my husband is Monroe "Lyndal" Welch an his card # is 1516929. We would very much love to come to Tunica and was wondering if we need new cards to play on and if the comps that we have from Shreveport would be honored at the Tunica Horseshoe? I certainly hope so. In fact we just returned from a 3 night stay in Shreveport. We usually go at least once a month and sometimes we go every week or every other week. Please let us know if you honor the hotel comps from Shreveport? We would like to come very soon. thank you very much. My EMail is www.flashwelch@aol.com Thank you very much.

I have never stayed at this hotel, but played there before and receive some free room stays, but was not able to take advantage of them at that time. I would enjoy staying there sometime this summer if I could get some more room comps.
Thank You,

I could save time and mention everything good about this place, but I have a break, so let me go into detail about why it blows chunks!!

First, everyone who works there is more worried about getting off work and when they'll get paid and not about the customer. Last year, which was the last time we'll ever darken their door again, my wife and I went to the slot club card window for the gift and cash-in of our points. Lines were long, but we finally got to the front of our line. I made my transaction. Then as my wife started to hand in her card(she was standing right beside me), the girl told her(and luckily I took ebonics as a second language in school)..."You gons have to gets in 'nother line. I be shuttin' this'n down". I told her we were togehter and she says..."Doan matter, I's a goin' on ma break". There was a minimum of 10 people in each of the other 2 lines. We gave up, walked out and never cashed her card in. I wrote to Horseshoe later, but they never responded. I guess 2 $1 video poker and slot players don't make that much difference.
Let's see what else happened over the year of 2002. Got comps for a suite and when we got there they had no idea what we were talking about. Were downgraded to a Motel '5' quality room, yes I said '5'. I've stayed in bettter $29 rooms on the interstate. At least it was still comped, I will give them that.
The buffet, which is very good, needs improvement on timing. They advertise breakfast until 10:45. We arrived one morning at 10:00 and the crew was already pulling everything for lunch. I tried to order a waffle, but the grill was shut down.
Oh, there's more, but no need in boring you. We've become huge fans of Hollywood Casino. They pay back a large percentage in their cashback program, offers wonderful comps and for the most part treat their customers with respect. Everyone has a bad day, but why Horseshoe always schedules these people's shifts during it has me mystified. Try other casinos and I feel you'll notice what I'm talking about.
